Conservation is at the heart of everything we do at Wellington Zoo. Wellington Zoo is a place for our local community and visitors to celebrate both native and exotic animals through engaging experiences aligned with best practice conservation, sustainability and animal care. Our award winning conservation hospital, The Nest Te Kōhanga, is committed to treating and rehabilitating native animals brought to us from beyond Wellington Zoo’s borders. Last year, 70% of our patient caseload was injured native wildlife. Your contribution helps us to meet the high annual cost of fulfilling this important community need, and protecting our region’s native wildlife.
